Track your Simply.com domains.
nmspc reads your Simply.com domains with an API key and reminds you before anything expires. It never changes them.
nmspc reads your Simply.com products through Simply.com's API: the domains registered there, domains you only host DNS for, and the DNS records of domains on Simply.com's nameservers. Expiry dates come from the registry, as for every domain nmspc tracks. nmspc lists what it finds and you choose which domains to track; nothing is added by itself. On Free it syncs when you press Sync now, on Pro every day.
Connect Simply.com
Steps
- Sign in to the Simply.com control panel and open Account › API keys.
- Create a key named nmspc and copy it.
- Paste the key below. nmspc only reads, and stores the key encrypted.
What nmspc reads
- The products on your Simply.com account that have a domain.
- Whether Simply.com registers each domain.
- Whether a product is cancelled, which means it won't renew.
- DNS records of domains that use Simply.com's nameservers.
What nmspc never does
- Renew, transfer, register or delete a domain.
- Change DNS records, nameservers, contacts or auto-renew.
- Buy anything or touch your payment details.
Can the key change your account?
nmspc can't check what a Simply.com key is allowed to do, so treat it as one that can change your Simply.com account. nmspc only ever reads with it.
Before nmspc stores it, the workspace owner ticks “I allow nmspc to store a key that can change my Simply.com account”.
If it doesn't connect
- Simply.com didn't accept the API key. Copy it again from Account › API keys in the Simply.com control panel.
- Simply.com refused to list the products on this account. Check that the key belongs to the account that holds your domains, or use CSV import instead.

How do I create a Simply.com API key for nmspc?
Sign in to the Simply.com control panel and open Account › API keys. Create a key and paste it into nmspc. nmspc doesn't need your account number: the key alone identifies the account.
Can the Simply.com key change my account?
nmspc can't check what a Simply.com key is allowed to do, so treat it as one that can change your Simply.com account. nmspc only ever reads with it.
Simply.com's API documentation describes no keys limited to reading, so the owner of the nmspc workspace ticks a box to allow storing it. The key is stored encrypted and only used for reading.
Why doesn't nmspc show whether auto-renew is on?
Simply.com's API doesn't say. nmspc only knows a domain won't renew when its product is cancelled, because cancelling is how Simply.com turns automatic renewal off.
Automatic renewal is set up in the control panel with a payment card, and starts 14 days before a domain expires.
Where does nmspc get the expiry date of my Simply.com domains?
From the registry, like every domain nmspc tracks. Simply.com's API gives the next renewal date instead, and automatic renewal starts 14 days before a domain expires, so that date can come before the real expiry.
Does Simply.com send renewal reminders?
Yes. Simply.com sends a series of email reminders before a product or domain expires, and SMS reminders if you gave a mobile number. Web hosting and domain renewals are separate and may not follow the same period.
nmspc adds its own reminders 60, 30, 14, 7, 1 days before.
Why doesn't nmspc show DNS records for some of my Simply.com domains?
nmspc reads records only for domains that use Simply.com's nameservers. Domains pointed at another DNS provider are still listed, with their expiry date from the registry.
Does nmspc renew my Simply.com domains?
No. nmspc never renews, transfers or changes a domain. It reads your Simply.com domains and reminds you 60, 30, 14, 7, 1 days before each one expires, by push notification on any plan and by email on Pro. Renewing stays with Simply.com.
