Registrars / Hostinger
Track your Hostinger domains.
nmspc reads your Hostinger domains with an API token and reminds you before anything expires. It never changes them.
nmspc reads your Hostinger domains through Hostinger's public API: when each one expires, whether the transfer lock is on, its nameservers, and the DNS records of domains on Hostinger's nameservers. nmspc lists what it finds and you choose which domains to track; nothing is added by itself. On Free it syncs when you press Sync now, on Pro every day.
Connect Hostinger
Steps
- In Hostinger's hPanel, open API (under Dev tools in the sidebar, or Account › API) and press New token.
- Name it nmspc, pick an expiration date and press Generate. Copy the token: Hostinger shows it only once.
- Paste it below. nmspc only reads, and stores the token encrypted. When the token expires, make a new one and paste it here.
What nmspc reads
- The domains in your Hostinger domain portfolio.
- Each domain's expiry and registration dates, transfer lock and nameservers.
- DNS records of domains that use Hostinger's nameservers.
What nmspc never does
- Renew, transfer, register or delete a domain.
- Change DNS records, nameservers, contacts or auto-renew.
- Buy anything or touch your payment details.
Can the token change your account?
nmspc can't check what a Hostinger token is allowed to do, so treat it as one that can change your Hostinger account. nmspc only ever reads with it.
Before nmspc stores it, the workspace owner ticks “I allow nmspc to store a token that can change my Hostinger account”.
If it doesn't connect
- Hostinger didn't accept the token. It may have expired or been deleted in hPanel › API. Make a new one there and paste it again.
- Hostinger allows 90 API calls a minute per user, shared by all of that user's tokens. Wait a minute and try again.
- Domains still being set up, transfers that haven't finished, and deleted domains aren't listed until Hostinger shows them as registered.

Moving a domain away from Hostinger
- Wait until at least 60 days have passed since the domain was registered or last transferred. It can't be suspended, expired or in the redemption period.
- In hPanel, open Domains, choose Manage, and under Domain Overview turn off the transfer lock and Privacy Protection. DNSSEC must be off too.
- Under Domain Overview, find Authorization code, press Get code and copy it.
- Start the transfer at the new registrar with the domain and the code, and confirm the email that follows. Transfers typically take up to 7 days.
How do I create a Hostinger API token for nmspc?
In hPanel, open API under Dev tools in the sidebar, go to API tokens and press New token. Enter a name, select an expiration date and press Generate.
Copy the token straight away: Hostinger doesn't show it again. Paste it in nmspc under Settings › Integrations › Hostinger.
Can the Hostinger token change my account?
nmspc can't check what a Hostinger token is allowed to do, so treat it as one that can change your Hostinger account. nmspc only ever reads with it.
Hostinger says a token has the same permissions as the user who made it, so the owner of the nmspc workspace ticks a box to allow storing it. The token is stored encrypted and only used for reading.
What happens when my Hostinger token expires?
Hostinger stops accepting it, and nmspc's next sync says the token wasn't accepted. Make a new token in hPanel › API and paste it in nmspc; the domains you track stay as they are.
Does nmspc show auto-renew for Hostinger domains?
No. Hostinger's API doesn't say whether a single domain renews automatically, so nmspc leaves it out. Hostinger's docs say domains auto-renew by default using your payment method on file, and you can turn it off in the domain's settings.
Does Hostinger send renewal reminders?
For .com and other generic endings, ICANN requires Hostinger, like every accredited registrar, to email at least two reminders before a domain expires (about a month and about a week before) and one more within five days after, if it is neither renewed nor deleted.
nmspc adds its own reminders 60, 30, 14, 7, 1 days before.
Why doesn't nmspc show DNS records for some of my Hostinger domains?
Hostinger only manages DNS records in hPanel for domains that use its nameservers, so nmspc reads records only for those. Domains pointed at another DNS provider still get expiry and lock details from Hostinger.
Does nmspc renew my Hostinger domains?
No. nmspc never renews, transfers or changes a domain. It reads your Hostinger domains and reminds you 60, 30, 14, 7, 1 days before each one expires, by push notification on any plan and by email on Pro. Renewing stays with Hostinger.
