nmspc

Welcome. You're among friends.
Everyone here owns more domains than projects. Let's count them.

The first meetings are small. Pull up a chair.

Nine folding chairs in a circle, eight of them taken. The empty one is your seat.Your seat

Introduce yourself

Paste your domains and the room will hear you out. Signed in, nmspc fills in the rest from your list.

Paste a list, or drop a .txt or .csv file. Counted in your browser; nothing is sent or kept.

This week's question

“The best name you own with nothing on it.”

0/200. It goes into your post on X, nowhere else; nmspc doesn't see it.
Answer on X

The twelve steps

  1. 1.Admit it.Count them all, including the ones you forgot. Paste the list or import it from your registrar. Import your domains
  2. 2.Face the bill. One number for what they cost a year, before the renewals tell you one by one. See the total
  3. 3.Find the empty ones.Domains with no website are marked No site. No judgement. Sort by site
  4. 4.Tag them.A project, Someday, My own name. Tags nest, if that helps. Open tags
  5. 5.Make a plan.Every tag shows its renewals for the next twelve months, so you decide before the card is charged. See renewals per tag
  6. 6.Let one go.Turn off auto-renew at the registrar. A lookup shows the day it's free again for someone with a plan. Look up a domain
  7. 7.Never miss the ones you keep.Reminders 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before a domain or its certificate runs out. Turn on reminders
  8. 8.Check they're set up right.A free report on each one: email spoofing, nameservers, DNSSEC and records someone else could claim. Get a health report
  9. 9.Learn the endings. How long .com, .se or .io gives you after the expiry date, so nothing lapses by surprise. Domain endings
  10. 10.Use the free tools.Lookups, certificates and reports for any domain, no account needed. Free tools
  11. 11.Before you buy, sleep on it.Look the name up tonight. If it still sounds like a company in the morning, it might be. Look it up
  12. 12.Help a friend.Share your introduction. Someone you know has forty of these and thinks it's fine. Introduce yourself

How nmspc helps

Every domain you own in one quiet list, in renewal order, with a reminder before a domain or its certificate runs out and a heads-up when something is set up wrong. Free for every domain, however many that turns out to be.

Coffee: fresh.
